Responsibilities
- Lead Design & Strategy: Direct the architectural design process from concept through to detailed construction documentation, ensuring design integrity is maintained.
- Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, translating their vision into actionable plans and delivering compelling presentations.
- Project Oversight: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Technical Compliance: Ensure all designs strictly adhere to UK building regulations, planning permissions, and sustainability standards (BREEAM/Passivhaus).
- Collaborative Coordination: Liaise closely with structural engineers, MEP consultants, and contractors to resolve technical challenges and facilitate smooth workflow.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior architects and design staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Qualifications: Fully qualified RIBA Part 3 or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of post-qualification experience, with a strong portfolio of completed residential and commercial projects in the UK.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in BIM software (Revit, ArchiCAD) and industry-standard CAD tools (AutoCAD).
- Design Skills: Exceptional spatial awareness and a keen eye for detail, demonstrated through a robust portfolio of work.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex design concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading design teams and managing client expectations in a fast-paced environment.
