Responsibilities
- Lead Design: Direct the architectural design process, from initial concepts and schematic design to construction documentation.
- Project Management: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and quality control to ensure successful delivery.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior architects and design staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative studio environment.
- Technical Expertise: Create detailed drawings, 3D models, and specifications using industry-standard software (Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino).
- Client Collaboration: Present design concepts to clients and stakeholders, ensuring their vision is realized.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to UK building regulations, planning laws, and sustainability standards.
- Site Supervision: Conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve on-site technical issues.
Qualifications
- Education: RIBA Part 3 qualified and eligible for Chartered Status (ARB/RIBA).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in architectural practice.
- Skills: Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp. Experience with BIM processes is essential.
- Portfolio: A strong, diverse portfolio demonstrating technical proficiency and design flair.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex design ideas.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
