Responsibilities
- Lead research initiatives in transformer architectures and reinforcement learning
- Develop novel algorithms for multimodal AI systems (vision, language, audio)
- Publish 3+ top-tier conference papers annually (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR)
- Mentor PhD-level researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Architect production-ready AI systems serving 10M+ users
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants and partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in AI/ML
- Expertise in PyTorch/TensorFlow and distributed training frameworks
- Proficiency in MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, Weights & Biases)
- Demonstrated ability to translate research into commercial products
- Strong background in ethical AI frameworks and bias mitigation
- Experience securing DoD/NSF research grants preferred
