Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly and annual financial close processes, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and properly documented.
- Prepare complex financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses, for executive review.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including intercompany transactions and bank reconciliations.
- Assist in the external audit process by providing requested schedules and supporting documentation.
- Monitor budget vs. actual performance and assist in variance analysis and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a public accounting firm or large corporation.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial data clearly.
