Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee the general ledger, perform complex reconciliations, and resolve any discrepancies with precision.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and invoices are processed promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and internal control policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting systems and operational efficiency.
- Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in public accounting or corporate finance.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to mentor junior staff members.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
