Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate general ledger records, perform month-end and year-end close procedures, and resolve complex reconciliations.
- Compliance & Audit: Assist in external and internal audits, ensuring all documentation is organized and accessible; monitor regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for automation and process optimization within the finance department to increase efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and intercompany accounts on a timely basis.
- Payroll Support: Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure accurate salary and bonus calculations.
- Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for management review.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of US GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
