Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end/quarter-end closing processes
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead internal audits and collaborate with external auditors during annual reviews
- Develop and maintain robust financial models for forecasting and variance analysis
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle experience preferred)
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide cross-functional financial guidance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in GAAP and SOX compliance requirements
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite)
- Proven track record of process improvement and automation initiatives
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial insights to stakeholders
