Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and industry-specific regulations
- Lead internal audits and coordinate external audit preparations
- Develop financial models and forecasts for strategic decision-making
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate settings
- Expertise in GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel with macros/VBA
- Proven track record of improving financial processes and controls
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software implementation
