Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial reports are prepared accurately and on time.
- Perform complex bank reconciliations and intercompany account reconciliations with a high degree of precision.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal compliance standards.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process by providing detailed variance analysis and insights.
- Ensure timely filing of tax returns and maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to the development of internal control procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present actionable insights.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills under tight deadlines.
