Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate, timely, and compliant with GAAP standards.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare complex monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses.
- Compliance & Audit: Lead the internal and external audit processes, managing documentation and ensuring full regulatory compliance.
- Reconciliation: Perform high-level bank reconciliations and inter-company eliminations to maintain the integrity of financial data.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist senior management in the development of annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in accounting workflows and internal controls to enhance efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior accountants and staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is highly required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in general accounting, financial reporting, or auditing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of US GAAP, tax regulations, and internal control frameworks.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
