Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Lead preparation of financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flows) adhering to GAAP standards
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable functions and optimize working capital management
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements to enhance financial controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage external auditor relationships
- Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to continuous improvement of accounting systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/MBA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expert proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel
- Deep understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills to articulate complex financial concepts to stakeholders
- Proven track record of process optimization and internal control implementation
- Experience managing accounting teams and cross-departmental projects
