Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all adjustments are properly documented.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and conduct variance analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations; prepare and file required tax returns.
- Lead internal audits and implement robust internal controls to mitigate financial risk.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) to maintain accurate financial records and generate reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial analysis, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros) and accounting software.
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
