Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including month-end and year-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including Balance Sheets and Profit & Loss statements, to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage daily bank reconciliations and intercompany account settlements to maintain audit-ready records.
- Ensure strict adherence to GAAP and internal control policies while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on technical accounting issues and best practices.
- Assist in external audits and tax filings by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA or CMA certification preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
