Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including variance analysis and journal entries.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate with external auditors during year-end reviews.
- Review and approve accounts payable and receivable transactions to maintain cash flow integrity.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
