Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and reported in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger account reconciliations and identify variances to drive corrective actions.
- Prepare complex financial reports and analysis for senior management and the board of directors.
- Support external audits by providing requested documentation and coordinating with auditors.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, utilizing historical data to project future trends.
- Maintain and update internal accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA/CMA certification is highly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and tax regulations.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
