Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial reports, variance analyses, and budget forecasts for executive leadership.
- Manage general ledger reconciliation, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, corporate policies, and regulatory compliance (SOX, GAAP).
- Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, optimizing cash flow management.
- Assist in external audits and coordinate with external auditors to provide requested documentation.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and present actionable insights.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
