Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Manage complex general ledger accounts and ensure adherence to GAAP and SOX compliance
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement
- Lead external audit coordination and prepare supporting documentation
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Mentor junior accounting staff and enhance team efficiency through automation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks)
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and tax regulations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in deadline-driven environments with competing priorities
- Proven experience leading audit processes and implementing process improvements
