Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly and annual financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and reconciled promptly.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial reports, including variance analysis, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and fixed asset management to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve internal controls and streamline financial processes.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present actionable insights.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
