Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are accurate and posted timely.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and intercompany account reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Manage and prepare the company’s annual tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing requested documentation and working with external auditors.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve budgeting processes and forecasting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree (MBA) or CPA/CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and financial software (SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting financial findings to stakeholders.
