Responsibilities
- Oversee the full cycle of monthly and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Manage general ledger activities, including reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and inter-company transactions.
- Supervise and mentor a team of junior accountants, providing guidance on technical accounting issues.
- Lead internal audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors to ensure a seamless examination process.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements within the accounting department.
- Conduct variance analysis and present findings to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree (MBA/MAcc) is a plus.
- CPA, CMA, or EA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, tax regulations, and financial compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-financial stakeholders.
