Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vitals and interpret complex data from hemodynamic monitoring systems.
- Administer critical medications and manage ventilators, IV pumps, and other life-support equipment.
- Collaborate with physicians and respiratory therapists to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document patient status with high precision.
- Provide emotional support and clear communication to families during high-stress situations.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and infection control standards in the ICU unit.
- Participate in unit rounds and contribute to interdisciplinary clinical decision-making.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and decisive under intense clinical pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based practice.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, preferably Epic.
