Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop comprehensive care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status, identifying changes in condition and responding immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Respond to medical emergencies within the ICU with composure and clinical expertise.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of critical care or ICU experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
