Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and record patient condition changes in a high-acuity environment.
- Manage complex medical equipment including ventilators, IV pumps, and cardiac monitors.
- Administer medications and treatments precisely according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Facilitate clear communication between the multidisciplinary care team, patients, and their families.
- Advocate for patient safety and implement evidence-based care plans to improve clinical outcomes.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) with strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
- Provide bedside education to patients and families regarding recovery processes and post-discharge care.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- CCRN certification is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to remain calm and decisive under intense pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a team-based setting.
