Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, adjusting treatments based on real-time clinical data.
- Administer complex medications and intravenous therapies while maintaining strict safety protocols.
- Operate and interpret data from sophisticated life-support systems and diagnostic equipment.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute comprehensive care plans.
- Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families during high-stress situations.
- Ensure meticulous documentation of all patient interventions in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and nursing research projects.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an ICU, CCU, or high-acuity setting.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certification required; CCRN certification is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure emergency situations.
- Advanced proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems (Epic experience is a plus).
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and ethical clinical practices.
