Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and provide direct bedside care to critically ill patients.
- Interpret complex diagnostic tests and manage advanced life-support equipment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and specialists, to formulate individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments precisely while documenting data in the EMR system.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring emotional and physical support for families during crises.
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols, HIPAA regulations, and hospital nursing standards.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and nursing students during clinical rotations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certifications required.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and empathy-driven bedside manner.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) platforms, such as Epic or Cerner.
