As an ICU RN here, you will provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients while working alongside multidisciplinary teams of physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialized surgeons to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information with precision.
- Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and complex treatments as prescribed.
- Operate and interpret data from critical care equipment, including ventilators and cardiac monitors.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during high-stress situations.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and code blue situations according to hospital protocols.
- Maintain detailed, accurate documentation in accordance with HIPAA and internal standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or high-acuity setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- CCRN certification preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to remain calm under high-pressure environments.
- Exceptional communication skills and a commitment to patient advocacy.
