Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vitals and interpret complex telemetry readings to ensure stable recovery.
- Administer advanced medications and titrate drips in accordance with physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialists to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Perform wound care, ventilator management, and arterial line maintenance with high clinical precision.
- Provide empathetic support and clear communication to families navigating critical health crises.
- Maintain meticulous electronic health records (EHR) to ensure data accuracy and continuity of care.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and nursing education sessions.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an ICU, CCU, or high-acuity step-down unit.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CCRN certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- Demonstrated ability to function calmly and effectively in high-stress, emergency situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care.
- Proficiency with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems.
