Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and medical history to detect changes in health status, reporting abnormalities to the medical team immediately.
- Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and procedures in strict accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
- Document all patient interactions, care provided, and responses to treatment accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Respond to medical emergencies and assist in code blue situations with high proficiency.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Critical Care or Med-Surg setting preferred.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse patient populations.
