Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted treatments with precision
- Monitor patient vital signs and manage treatment side effects proactively
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care plans with oncologists, pharmacists, and social workers
- Educate patients and families on disease management and home care protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and treatment documentation
- Participate in tumor board meetings and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- BSN degree from accredited nursing program
- Current Illinois RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years oncology/hematology experience
- OCN certification preferred
- Expertise in infusion therapy and chemotherapy administration
- Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional communication and emotional intelligence
