Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive critical care nursing for post-cardiac surgery patients
- Administer complex medications and monitor advanced hemodynamic parameters
- Lead rapid response team activations during emergency situations
- Maintain meticulous documentation using Epic EMR system
- Mentor new nurses through our preceptorship program
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure strict adherence to JCAHO and CMS regulations
Qualifications
- BSN degree from accredited nursing program (MSN preferred)
- Current Illinois RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 3 years ICU experience with cardiac specialization
- Proficiency in arterial line and ventilator management
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Experience with Epic EMR and cardiac monitoring equipment
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
