Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced nursing care to ICU patients with complex medical conditions
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and interpret diagnostic results
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Provide education to patients and families on post-ICU recovery strategies
- Maintain accurate electronic health records using Epic systems
- Participate in rapid response teams and code blue emergencies
- Mentor new nurses and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current NYS RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications
- BSN required; MSN preferred for leadership track
- Minimum 3 years ICU experience in Level I trauma center
- Expertise in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Experience with EHR systems and documentation best practices
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in high-stress environment
