Responsibilities
- Provide critical care for post-cardiac surgery patients with complex monitoring needs
- Administer life-saving medications and interventions per advanced protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EHR system
- Mentor new nurses and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond effectively to rapid response and code blue situations
Qualifications
- BSN degree from accredited nursing program
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience with cardiac focus
- Current Illinois RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and critical care certification preferred
- Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
