Responsibilities
- Deliver critical care assessment and intervention for diverse patient populations across all acuity levels
- Lead rapid response teams during medical emergencies and trauma situations
- Implement evidence-based clinical protocols while maintaining accurate electronic health records
- Mentor junior nursing staff through our peer-to-peer training program
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and departmental research projects
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Ensure strict compliance with JCAHO standards and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active New York State RN license with minimum 3 years ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ADN candidates with 5+ years experience considered
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and emergency department documentation systems
- Demonstrated expertise in rapid assessment and intervention techniques
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in crisis management
