Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders
- Monitor and interpret patient telemetry data, responding promptly to changes
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care plans with physicians, therapists, and social workers
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records
- Participate in rapid response and code blue emergencies
- Mentor new nurses and contribute to unit quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Active RN license in New York State
- Minimum 2 years ICU or critical care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
