Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for post-cardiac surgery patients and critical cardiac conditions
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms with precision
- Administer complex medications including vasoactive drips and anticoagulants
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient-centered care plans
- Perform advanced cardiac assessments and emergency interventions
- Document patient care with accuracy and timeliness in Epic EHR systems
- Mentor new staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Illinois RN license with BLS/ACLS certifications
- Minimum 3 years of Cardiac ICU experience
- BSN required, MSN preferred
- Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Critical care certification (CCRN) strongly preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in rapid response protocols
- Exceptional communication and crisis management skills
