Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and closure of high-priority government projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Manage diverse stakeholders, including government officials, external partners, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing effective contingency plans.
  • Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present detailed project status reports, briefings, and presentations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations, agency policies, and best practices in project management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for project management processes and methodologies within the agency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Management, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 3 years specifically within the public sector or government contracting.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-year projects with budgets exceeding $1M.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in federal procurement processes, regulations (e.g., FAR), and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance upon hire.
