Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end research projects from conceptualization through to prototype validation.
- Design and implement rigorous experimental protocols to test material performance and system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate breakthrough discoveries into scalable product lines.
- Analyze complex datasets to derive actionable insights that inform strategic R&D decision-making.
- Mentor junior researchers and foster an environment of continuous learning and technical rigor.
- Represent the firm at industry conferences and publish research findings in high-impact technical journals.
- Manage laboratory budgets, safety standards, and project timelines to ensure efficient delivery.
Qualifications
- PhD in Materials Science, Applied Physics, or a related Engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in an R&D environment, preferably within the deep-tech or industrial sector.
- Proven track record of taking complex research initiatives from lab-bench to production-scale.
- Expertise in data modeling software such as MATLAB, Python, or specialized simulation tools.
- Strong grasp of intellectual property processes and patent development.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical findings for stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in project management and team mentorship.
