In this role, you will lead the evolution of our containerized multi-region platform, driving performance, high availability, and security across millions of daily active users. You will collaborate directly with executive stakeholders to design reliable, scalable systems utilizing modern infrastructure-as-code paradigms. Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain scalable multi-region AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
- Lead the migration of legacy monolithic microservices into highly optimized Kubernetes clusters (EKS).
- Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and infrastructure provisioning.
- Establish comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and observability practices using Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.
- Partner with product development teams to ensure architectural standards, security compliance, and disaster recovery strategies are met.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers on cloud engineering best practices and automation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, DevOps, or system administration.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and operating large-scale cloud-native platforms in AWS.
- Expertise with container orchestration platforms, specifically Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, or self-hosted).
- Deep proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, specifically Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or Bash for automation and custom tool development.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional) are highly preferred.
