Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries, including bypass, valve repair, and minimally invasive procedures.
- Lead the cardiac surgical team, providing mentorship to junior surgeons and residents.
- Develop and implement new clinical protocols to enhance operational efficiency and patient safety.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and ICU specialists.
- Participate in high-impact medical research and contribute to clinical publications.
- Manage pre-operative assessments and post-operative recovery plans for high-acuity patients.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Thoracic/Cardiac Surgery.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of clinical experience in high-volume cardiac centers.
- Demonstrated expertise in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted cardiac surgical techniques.
- Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of managing high-performing surgical teams.
- Strong commitment to clinical research and advancing medical technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a multidisciplinary setting.
