Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including CABG, valve repairs, and aortic surgery.
- Lead multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in high-acuity cases.
- Develop and implement advanced surgical protocols to improve clinical efficiency and recovery times.
- Mentor residents and fellows, fostering a culture of academic excellence and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with cardiac imaging and anesthesia departments for comprehensive patient care.
- Engage in ongoing clinical research and publish findings in peer-reviewed medical journals.
- Participate in departmental leadership meetings to influence institutional surgical policy.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Valid Massachusetts State Medical License or eligibility to obtain one.
- Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience in a high-volume cardiovascular center.
- Proven track record in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted cardiac surgery.
- Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
