Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality 2D, 3D, and Doppler echocardiograms on diverse patient populations.
- Lead and mentor junior sonographers to ensure department compliance and imaging excellence.
- Maintain and optimize sophisticated ultrasound equipment for diagnostic accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists to interpret complex clinical findings.
- Manage patient documentation and electronic health records (EHR) with strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing quality assurance and peer review initiatives.
Qualifications
- RDCS or RCS certification through ARDMS or CCI.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a hospital-based cardiology setting.
- Advanced knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage team workflows.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
