Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill patients with complex conditions
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, lab results, and diagnostic imaging
- Administer medications and treatments with precision and safety protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment procedures and recovery strategies
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and emergency response drills
Qualifications
- BSN degree required; MSN or specialty certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years ICU experience in Level 1 Trauma Center
- Current NY State RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications
- Expertise in hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and critical care pharmacology
- Exceptional assessment skills and ability to prioritize complex cases
- Strong communication abilities with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
