Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA standards
- Lead regulatory compliance initiatives, including air/water permits, hazardous waste management, and workplace safety audits
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and incident investigations, implementing corrective actions
- Design and deliver engaging EHS training programs for 500+ employees across multiple facilities
- Oversee environmental monitoring programs, including emissions tracking and waste reduction initiatives
- Manage emergency response planning and crisis communication protocols
- Prepare regulatory reports and maintain compliance documentation for federal/state agencies
- Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and KPI tracking
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 10+ years progressive EHS experience in industrial/manufacturing environments
- OSHA 30-hour certification and CHMM or CSP designation required
- Proven expertise in EPA/RCRA, TSCA, and state-specific environmental regulations
- Advanced proficiency with EHS software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex, or similar platforms)
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional safety culture transformation
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex environmental data
- Excellent communication abilities for training diverse audiences and regulatory reporting
