Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations (e.g., OHS, CCOHS).
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the development of corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across all operational sites.
  • Manage and deliver mandatory safety training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Oversee waste management protocols and environmental impact assessments to minimize ecological footprint.
  • Collaborate with management to integrate safety goals into business objectives and operational planning.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional designation such as CRSP, CSP, CHIM, or P.Eng is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in EHS management within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train diverse audiences.
  • Proven track record of successfully reducing incident rates and leading safety culture transformation.
  • Proficiency in EHS management software and data analysis tools.
