Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cybersecurity policies for federal agencies and critical infrastructure
- Analyze emerging cyber threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Coordinate with interagency partners on national security initiatives
- Conduct compliance audits and ensure adherence to NIST frameworks
- Prepare briefings for senior leadership on cyber risks and policy impacts
- Lead incident response planning and recovery protocols
- Mentor junior analysts and support cross-functional projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, IT, public policy, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or policy development
- Active CISSP, CISM, or equivalent security certification required
- Deep knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework and federal regulations
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike)
- Strong analytical skills with policy development background
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance
