Responsibilities
- Oversee daily nursing operations across 3-4 specialized units with 50+ staff members
- Develop and implement evidence-based clinical protocols aligned with JCAHO standards
- Lead quality improvement initiatives reducing hospital-acquired conditions by 15%
- Conduct performance evaluations and create personalized development plans for nursing staff
- Collaborate with physicians, administrators, and ancillary departments on patient care coordination
- Manage departmental budget exceeding $5M annually with cost-containment strategies
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and state healthcare regulations
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or BSN with relevant certifications
- Minimum 5 years progressive nursing experience with 2+ years in leadership
- Current RN license in Massachusetts and BLS/ACLS certifications
- Proven track record in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Advanced proficiency in Epic EMR and healthcare analytics tools
- Exceptional conflict resolution and team-building abilities
- Experience with budget management and resource allocation
